Checking In

Arrival time is usually between 4pm to 10pm. We request that you let us know of your expected arrival time closer to the date so that we can be sure someone is in to welcome you. Check out is by 10am.

Terms & Conditions

We look forward to welcoming you to Aber Cottage Guest House. When you make a booking you are entering into a legal contract with us. Please read the terms and conditions of booking below.

Bookings and Deposits:
A deposit of approximately 20% of the total cost is required to secure a booking. Deposits will be retained if guests do not take up occupancy (see note below regarding cancellations). We will confirm the booking when we have processed the deposit payment. The remaining balance needs to be paid in full before your departure by one of the following methods: Major Debit or Credit Card or Cash. We do not accept cheques. Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstance. We would recommend you take out cancellation insurance to cover this cost.

Cancellation by You:
A reservation forms a legal contract for the total cost of the booking. In the event of cancellation by you, for any reason, less than 72 hours before 16:00 hrs on the booked arrival date, the total cost of the stay will become payable. In the event of cancellation by you more than 72 hours before 16:00 hrs on the booked arrival date it may be possible to transfer the deposit to a future booking. Please note that non arrival constitutes a cancellation. If we suceed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid it, however a 20% administration fee will be charged.

Arrival & Departure Times:
Arrival time is normally after 4pm and before 10pm unless we have agreed other prior arrangements. Guests are requested to vacate rooms by 10am on the day of departure. Occupancy beyond that time will be charged at the full daily rate. It may be possible to deposit luggage earlier on the day of arrival, or to store luggage for collection later on the departure day.

Smoking:
In accordance with current legislation, the inside of Aber Cottage is completely non-smoking. This includes the use of vaporizers. Smoking out of windows is equally prohibited. The Police may be called if the law is broken. An excess cleaning charge of £20 will be applied if guests smoke within the premises. In addition, if a room cannot be let due to smoking, the cost of those lost nights will also be charged.

Parking:
We provide parking for one car per room. We do not guarantee parking for vans or other large vehicles and these may be refused.

Keys:
You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you arrive. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at £25.00 per set.

Liability:
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.

Pets:
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets inside the house.

Acceptance of Children:
Sorry, children under the age of eight cannot be accommodated at this property.

Damages and Breakages:
Please take care with our possessions. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damage which you cause to the accommodation. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may invoice you for repairing or making good if the breakage or damage is significant.

Cancellation by Us:
We would only cancel your booking if your chosen accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation if available, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Adherence to Terms:
The owners have a right to terminate a booking without refund if guests do not adhere to our terms, conditions, policies and house rules or behave in any way that is abusive, dangerous or generally unacceptable to any other guest or the proprietors.
